Stuck on a dynamic cob web
Sticky wires tugging at every available appendage
Pulsating on my nervous system
Tapping all the sensations
Invading crevices of my brain
Reading my private thoughts
Thoughts…stacks of them..
Wound onto each other like snakes,
I’m so confused I could die.
Stuck on these thoughts
The cobweb gnaws at my limbs
I can’t move
I can’t fight it any longer
Any moment I could give in
But another ..just another
as long as you can hold on to another tiny second, you’re saved
Saved .. not given up that is..
Stuck on the cobweb
Pulling me apart
Pulling me into pieces.. tossing them all around
Multiplied a few times
Like twenty-four hours in a day heaved into twenty six if that would please
Like a brain pestled under the pressure of a grandfather clock
Ticking away your opportunities
The brain pestled into millions of cells and blood…a cell for every one
For all that is yet undone
A cell for everyone,
For all who couldn’t undo the lash of the cob web.
Put them all in and shut their motion
Knot their impulses and confuse them
In the whiteness of the cold
That awaits everyone
